My Christian Kane Fantasy

Ok, I know what you're thinking. That I'm going to share some sexy dream I had about actor Christian Kane. I know, there's been precedent for that on this blog. And I do think he's a sexy guy.

But my fantasy is actually about his hair. I want it. Specifically, as it's styled on the show Leverage. every time we watch the show I'm distracted by his hair: "How do they get it to stay out of his eyes? How to they keep it off his face?? How long does that take?"

I got my hair colored and styled Monday, and my awesome stylist with her round brush did amazing things. Tuesday morning I put on a tank top and short-sleeve shirt and HEY! There it is, the Eliot look!

What do you think:

Dream Men

Ever have a hot dream you just can't tell anybody about? It's not that I couldn't literally tell someone, just that I don't have anyone to tell.

"Hey, honey, I just had a great dream about... uhhhh. never mind."

Let's just say, Julian McMahon. Was one of them. The other was a guy from my high school.

I know my dream job! I want to be a hooker* in Australia. Think about it: Russell Crowe, Hugh Jackman, and now McMahon too. Sounds good to me!

I haven't been able to watch nip/tuck for a couple seasons, it got too brutal. But love this guy!

The weird part of the dream was that the 2 guys in it had the names of 2 of my nephews. whatever that means.

-- * Edited, weeks later, to add: Nobody hsa said anything, but I've felt a bit guilty about this since I wrote it. Just to be sure I'm clear: It's a joke. I don't really want to be a hooker anywhere. Objectifying women, second-class citizens, the whole just-not-right thing. I love my hubby and don't intend to stray. OK, soul bared. Finis.

Hopeful Friday

Haiku for Friday,
working on my action guide
The Lord has blessed me:

Just one little strike
First week back from vacation --
SO proud of DB.

A little me time
in quiet house yesterday
restoreth my soul.

DB gets "strikes" at school when he does something especially egregious (shouts, throws something or hits someone). The other kids get them too, sometimes. But this week, which is usually a hard transition back, he only has one so far!

We'll see about today -- it's assembly day, when someone else gets named citizen of the month. He can barely tolerate being ni the assembly at all, and then when they call someone else's name he usually shouts out angrily. I've sent a note to remind the teachers to remind him of expected behavior. We're going to practice not shouting in the car on the way to school.

And also the prayers will begin in 3,2,1...

Bus Dream

I had a dream last night about DB's bus. I was undecided about whether to tell him about it -- and then, oddly enough, on our way downstairs this morning he asked me to tell him my dreams. So I told him about it:

Last night I dreamt your bus was like a dune buggy. It was open in the back except for rollbars -- one across the front and back of the passenger section, and then one long one down the center (so it formed like a capital letter "I" from the front to back of the bus).

It was yellow like a school bus and about the same size your bus is now (a minibus). Those details were in response to his questions -- "Was it red?" "Was it a 2-seater?"

The front section had both driver and passenger seats, like a dune buggy, but was open like a jeep.

There was a substitute driver, not the usual guy, who was playing music so loud that the guy was wearing big headphones to muffle the sound (either that, or he was listening to the music through those headphones and it was still so loud if was deafening).

"Did the kids have headphones too?" DB asked me. No, they didn't and there was no way I was going to put DB on that bus with that loud music, and I was baffled as to why anyone else did! His old classmate A. and the kindergartener who actually does sit in front of him on the bus now were in the bus's seats when it pulled up.

I was trying to decide whether to get those kids off the bus and drive them myself as I walked, holding DB's hand, out to the bus to tell the guy I was going to drive DB today.

DB was distracted by a parked car and pulling me to the side of the street, so I had to pull him back toward the bus to finish speaking to the driver.

The driver just nodded when I said I'd be driving DB, then pulled away with the other kids on it. I was left wondering how the police could find the bus if I called them. Or whether it was even the police I should call, or the school? OPT?And then I either woke up or the dream was over.

Ya think I still have some bus anxiety?
